June is Busting Out All Over

Here we are in June already, and things are heating up everywhere- especially at the Roadhouse.

We've added some regular events, made some special events more regular, and have a great crop of musical talent lined up for the month. Kid's Night was a great success, so we're making it permanent, every Tuesday.

We're adding Karaoke to Wing Ding Wednesdays, and Thursday Night Open Mic is going to be a regular feature as well.

When you come out on Fridays for Bike Night, the jukebox plays are on us, and every Saturday night will feature Live Music.

And that's not all. We're bringing in more pool tables and remodeling some of the upstairs space to accommodate bigger crowds and larger bands. It's gonna be one smokin' Summer at the Roadhouse.

Weekend Fun at the Roadhouse

Another week has come and gone, and it's time to kick back and enjoy the weekend.

Friday is, of course, Bike Night. Hawg Wings are only $5, PBR is $1.25, and RB Stone is playing tonight. What a combo!

World Series of Poker Tournaments continue on Sunday. Don't worry what week we're on in the quarterly tournament- there are weekly prizes, too! Come on out and play for FREE!

Lake Norman Idol

It's open mic night tonight at Horsefeathers Roadhouse! We know that several of our regulars play instruments and sing, so we decided to give everyone who wants it the opportunity to take the stage and be part of the night's entertainment.

We've also got $1 Busch and Busch Light tonight, just in case you need a little courage of that variety.

Host David Holtzclaw is a past Horsefeathers performer, and will certainly do a few numbers himself, so even if you're not inclined to sing or play, there's still plenty of entertainment to be had.

And, speaking of entertainment in general, we've got something BIG on the horizon that will forever impact Horsefeathers Roadhouse as an entertainment venue. We think you're gonna love it. Stay tuned for the big announcement.

TGIF

It's Friday! While that means it's about time to start thinking about relaxing for most of you, for us it means it's time to *really* get to work.

And, we have quite the weekend ahead of us. Of course, Friday always means Bike Night at the Roadhouse, with $5 Hawg Wings and great beer specials. We've also got The Nautical Wheelers tonight and tomorrow night.

Tomorrow, we're a stop on the "Sack" Morrell Benefit Poker Run. Those folks should be coming through mid-day, so come on out and cheer them on (and enjoy $2 draft beer). Proceeds of that run are going to help Sack's family deal with the mounting costs of his cancer treatment. We'll be happy to take donations and pass them on to the benefit fund.

Sunday brings 2 more free World Series of Poker Tournaments, at 5 and 8 along with $1.50 Coors Light.

And now it's May

We've got plenty of great events lined up for the month of May. The full May calendar is posted on our website. You can also check out or profile and calendar over on LKNFun.com. While we'll be letting you know what's going on here as each event draws near, you'll be able to get the full overview there. And, we're planning some great coupon specials for our LKNFun.com visitors, so make sure to keep an eye peeled for those.

Lisa's lined up some new acts to come out in May, as well as some old favorites. David Holtzclaw will be hosting Open Mic night on the 8th and 22nd, The Nautical Wheelers will be back this coming Friday and Saturday, and both RB Stone and TJ Black will take the stage again in May.

We're also having some of the members of Chrome out on the 23rd to do a special stripped-down acoustic set. Make sure to bring the kids out on the 13th and 27th for a special "Kid's Karaoke" in the dining room. And don't forget to bring Mom out for our Prime Rib Special on Mother's Day, May 11th.

All this is on top of our regular Sunday Night World Series of Poker Tournaments, Wing-Ding Wednesdays, Friday Bike Nights, and daily beer and lunch specials.

Gettin' Hungry Yet?

Despite the odd swing in temperatures the past day or so, summer is nearly upon us, and that means many of us will soon be packing up the gang for days out on the lake or in the park. Which also means hours spent planning and packing all those picnic lunches.

Or, you can let us take care of the meal part. We've recently launched (I originally typo-ed that as "lunched"- clearly my mind is already on the way to Horsefeathers) our Bulk Carry-Out menu. You can mix and match with bulk cooked meats and sides, or choose one of our ready-made packs. Either way, you get great Horsefeathers Roadhouse food to take to wherever the season's activities bring you. We can even hook you up with cups, plates, and cutlery, so it's perfect for even those spur-of-the-moment outings.

And, don't forget it's Wednesday today. That means $.40 wings and $2 Corona out at the Roadhouse. This regular Wednesday night feature is becoming really popular, so come on out and see what the fuss is all about. Better yet, come stake out your place and become another one of the regulars!

Here comes the weekend

If you missed TJ Black last night, well, why? Don't worry too much, though, he'll be back at the Roadhouse in a couple weeks. Besides, it's time to focus on the weekend now!

Every Friday is Bike Night at the Roadhouse, and we let our exclusive Hawg Wings go for only $5, even if you don't ride a "hawg". We've got Icehouse on special tonight, too.

Tomorrow (Saturday) night, RB Stone is returning to the stage at the Roadhouse. You can find out a bit about RB over on his website . Couple that with our $2 draft beer special and you've got a recipe for one heck of an evening.

Sunday night is Poker Night, with 2 Texas Hold 'em tournaments with Local Circuit Events. Check the Roadhouse website for more info.

By the way, we're now on LKNFun.com. Click on over to see more about these and all or our upcoming events.

Live Music Tonight

We've got TJ Black back tonight at the Roadhouse. Always a local favorite, TJ plays originals and a lot of your favorite covers. Come on out and enjoy the show, because as TJ says when singing an old David Alan Coe favorite, "I'll hang around as long as JD will let me".

Here we are

Well, this is our blog. Obviously. Why do we need a blog? We figured it was a great way to let you know some of the stuff going on at the Roadhouse, like when JD finds some berries he likes and decides to offer a limited run cobbler for awhile, or Lisa gets a last minute entertainment booking lined up. It's also where we'll let you in on some of the upcoming plans- stuff we want to do, and are working on, but might not be firm enough yet to get announced on the website.

So, welcome. Enjoy. Expect things on the page to move around a lot while we get the layout and look to our liking.
